On Thursday, March 14th, the final event of the ETRA-ID project "Engaging Traditional and Religious Authorities in the Sahel: The Role of Interreligious Dialogue”, coordinated Francesco Strazzari, professor of political science at the Scuola Sant'Anna, and funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, will take place in classroom 3 at the Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna.

The event, titled "Religious Transformations, Political Polarization, and Dialogue Opportunities in Africa”, will feature the participation of distinguished guests, including international academics, practitioners, and senior officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The conference aims to examine the potentials, methods, and challenges of religious dialogue in the Sahel. The pluralization and polarization of the religious landscape, within a context characterized by the instrumental use of violent extremism, highlight the need to involve all dialogue entities to promote peace, inter-community cohesion, and social resilience.
